Canada's official national sports are ice hockey and lacrossse. Hockey is a national pastime and popular spectator sport in the country. Other popular spectator sports include curling and football; the latter is played professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Golf, baseball. skiing, soccer, cricket, volleyball, rugby league and baseball are widely played at youth and amateur levels, but professional leagues and franchises are not widespread.
Canada has hosted several high profile international sporting events, incluiding the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, the 1944 Basketball World Championship and the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Canada was the host nation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia.

Canadian Cuisine....
The favorite foods of Canadians vary slightly from region to region, and are strongly influenced by their family heritage, especially in relation to holiday celebrations. Along the Atlantic coast, seafood and dishes derived from English traditions (except in Quebec) are common.
In Quebec, favorite foods come from the area’s French heritage. Throughout Canada, maple syrup and maple products are popular, reflecting the significance of the maple tree, whose leaf adorns the flag of Canada. Many families enjoy a visit in early spring to a maple sugar “shack”, the special rustic building where sap from maple trees is boiled in a large open pan to make maple syrup.
Later in the spring, many people in Eastern Canada visit a wooded area to harvest fiddleheads. Fiddleheads, named because they look like the coiled end of a violin, are the tasty new sprouts of woodland ferns, picked before they develop into large lacy fronds. They are a fragile spring specialty, usually available for just a few weeks in the spring. Grocery stores in Canada may stock frozen fiddleheads alongside other frozen vegetables.

A. J. Cokk
A. J. Cokk has been entertaining audiences from an early age. She began her entertainment career in her hometown, Oshawa, Ontario, as a competitive dancer and dance teacher.
A.J. ‘S acting career began when she was 17 years old. Her first major role was in “The Virgen suicides”. Since then, this beautiful starlet has taken Hollywood by storm, starring in films such as "Final Destination 2”, "Misconceptions" and "The house next door", as well as several guest star appearances on T.V like "Higher Ground".Her most recently appearance is in "Criminal Minds".
Alan Thicke
Actor, writer, producer, composer. Alan Willis Jeffrey was born on March 1, 1947, in Kirkiland lake, Ontario.
He got his star in show as a writer for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. During the mid-1980's to early 1990's he played one of the most beloved sitcom dads: the psychiatrist Jason Seaver on "Growing pains". He has taken part in movies like: "I'm in the band", "RoboDoc" and "A little Light".
Alison Pill
Alison Courtney Pill was born on November 27, 1985. It is a Canadian film and theatre actress. Her first starring was in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen". She is best known from her roles in "Milk", "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" and "Midnight in Paris".

Caroline Rhea
Caroline Gilchrist Rhea was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She is a stand-up comedian, actress, and the former host of talk show “The Caroline Rhea Show”.

The Quebec Winter Carnival
It is a joyous holiday celebrated in the harsh winter of Quebec, whose origins can be traced to 1894, where it served as an escape from everyday reality of the people, in that year there was an economic crisis in the country. However, it was not until 1955 when it was celebrated as an official event that occurs periodically in February of each year.
It is famous for its organization around sporting events specific to that time of the year, such as ice skating, competitions, racing sled dogs, and a canoe race on the river.
In addition, there can also be seen the famous statues of ice, or snow slides. At night, the visitor can pass through the snowy streets and decorated for the occasion. The city is very lively during the Carnival, and full of laughter, music, dances, parades and, of course, a variety of costumes.

Nova Scotia is one of Canada's three Maritime provinces and is the most populous province of the four in Atlantic Canada and the second-most-densely populated province in Canada.
